What do you need to lay our carpet tiles?
The only thing we require: a firm supporting floor and a Stanley knife.

Kela carpet tiles are laid loose, as indicated on the drawing, so no glue, nails or similar is needed. However, the supporting floor must be firm and non-slippery. Old carpet and/or underlay should be removed. Kela carpet tiles should not be laid on an uneven or humid floor. Kela carpet tiles are laid down firmly and nap-to-nap. It is also possible to lay the tiles in one direction if you use Kela Frisé 750, Kela Saphir or Kela Shaggy. Start by laying Kela carpet tiles along the longest, straight side, that way you will cut the least number of carpet tiles.

1 Smooth floors; apply the Kela anti-slip using a sponge roller (in a very thin layer).
Allow to dry.

2 To calculate the right size of the edging tile, slide a carpet tile (with the backing side facing upwards) in the opposite direction against the plinth, underneath a carpet tile.
3 Now you can cut the right size with a Stanley knife along the upper carpet tile and into the backing side of the edging tile. 4 When the edging tile has been cut through, turn it upside down and place it in position.

Note!: In walking areas (so-called traffic areas), carpet tiles will obtain a different structure with respect to those carpet tiles that are practically not walked on, e.g. along walls and the like.
Therefore, we advise that, rather than exchanging carpet tiles, you replace the worn tile with a new (spare) tile if the old one cannot be repaired.
